As many people are using it, you should add some X-Factor to your stories. Adding background music in your video or image compilation seems like a great idea. The latest version of the Instagram application allows you to add music to your Instagram stories.
How to Use Instagram Stories Music Feature?
It is pretty simple.
You open the Instagram story camera.
On the top of the screen, you see a square-faced smiley.
Tap on it, and it opens multiple options.
Select Music, and it opens a music library in front of you.
Please go through it and select your favorite track that will go with your current video.
Preview your story so you don't share embarrassing music.
Press Ok and publish your story.
What if you want to add your own music?
In that case, you can try the following three methods.
Method No.1 Play Music in The Background
Turn on your favorite music on the speaker and create a video.
Once the video is created, upload it to your story.
Method No.2 Use a Third-Party application
Another way to add your music to an Instagram story is to use a third-party application. You will get a video creation tool through which you can add your favorite music to a video. After creating a video, you can upload it as a story.

If you can't add music to your Instagram, what's the reason?
Sometimes, you try to add music to your story but you won't see a music feature available. There are three main reasons for it.
Features aren't available in your country. At present, this feature is rolled out in more than 90 countries. Instagram is strict about its policies. In some countries with a copyrighted issue, this feature isn't available to the general public.
You might have an old version of Instagram; try updating it to the new version.
Are you trying to share branded content? If that's the case, you can add music and emojis to the story of a branded content. It's against Instagram advertising policies.
How to Add Music To Your Instagram when Music Sticker isn't Available?
If you cannot add music due to any of the three reasons I mentioned above, then there is still some hope to upload a story with music. Here is how to do it.
Play music from your music streaming apps like Apple Music or Spotify.
While music is in your background, you need to start creating a story.
Go to Instagram and record your story. This background music will become a part of your story; and once you are done with the story.
In this post, I explained to you how to add your own music to Instagram. You can make an engaging story by recording an MP3 song in your voice and later make it a part of your story. This is a cool idea. If you have a good voice, you can try singing a song that would become background music for your upcoming Instagram story. And the best thing is that as you are creating the song all by yourself, you won't have to worry about copyright issues at all. What do you think? Would you go with this idea of adding your own music to Instagram stories?
