Cricket fans in Karachi roundup outside former T20 and Test captain Sarfraz Ahmed’s residence to throw a protest in favor of him and against the policies of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Karachiites shout the slogans of ‘Justice for Sarfraz’ and ‘We Stand With Sarfaraz’. On the other hand, they also bashed former pacer Shoaib Akhtar.

“Tell me what was the reason behind dismiss Sarfraz. I agree that his performance was not too good in recent times but what about his performance which he marked for Pakistan,” a supporter questioned.

"We need a loyal character to lead the team and Sarfaraz is fully qualified to be a leading position at Pakistan need his loyalty at ICC events that many times we involved in radical events in past but with Sarfaraz we always in the fair side" a supporter regret.

“Removing him from ODI and Test is around acceptable but can the PCB give any valid reason behind removing him from T20 captaincy? He has won 12 T20 series out 14 for Pakistan” another fan lamented.

The fans appeal to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to look into this matter and call back Sarfraz as captain in the T20 format of the cricket.

It is appropriate to mention here that the PCB removed Sarfraz from all formats with immediate effect. Azhar Ali has been made captain in Test cricket while Babar Azam will lead the national T20 team till the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

Pakistan will initiate their new era with a three T20 match series against Australia, starting on 3 November. That will be followed by a two-Test match series, which will also mark their raid into the ICC World Test Championship.
